I already hate the apartment and I want to get denial letter. If I don't get it my down payment is lost. At the same time I can not get an approval letter. How to get out of preliminary contract? My layer doesn't help. It looks like she wants me to buy the apartment no matter what.I am buying an apartment. I am stuck with mortgage no denial or approval. I hate the apartm and want out?
Call your mortgage broker or bank and tell them you have been told you will be laid off soon. That'll get them to drop you fast.
Of course, it's fraudulent. Depending on the wording of the mortgage clause in your contract, it may be sufficient to get your deposit (not your down payment, it's a deposit, or 'earnest money') back.I am buying an apartment. The whole point of putting earnest money down is so people don't walk away from homes for no reason. The seller lost potential buyers and marketing time because you tied the property up. Most contracts are loaded with contingencies but I'm assuming you met them all. If you walk at this point you can be sued for non compliance or worst case lose your earnest money. If you walk due to a financing contingency you should get your money back unless it was made unrefundable after a certain period that was agreed upon. Can you let us know what your contract says about this? That would help.
