How to get a Mortgage?

Hi everyone,





Really dont know where to start, I am looking to buy a House of my own soon ( live with parents at the moment) however i have got no idea how to go about it and also i dont know if i would be able to get one as yet as my credit rating is not exactly brilliant at the moment.





I have in the past tried rented properties with Friends but this ended up being a disaster hence now why i have got poor credit.





Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

If your credit rating not great, probably best to talk to local mortgage broker (most don't charge any fees) and they will be able to tell you what lender you will be able to use.





You could try internet, but as first time buyer you may end up running around in circles for ages.

I suggest you go to a building society or a bank and ask them what sort of mortgage they could offer you. You'll need bank statements and be able to show proof of regular income.





They should then be able to tell you how much they could lend you and so that would give you an idea of what you could afford.





You couldn't have picked a worse time to think about it. Even people with a top credit rating are having a big problem getting mortgages.
Mortgage is a fancy name for a big loan. Start with the bank you already have an account out, you will talk to someone at a desk instead of standing in the regular line.
