Help with moving a mortgage, never done it before!!?

We have a deal that ends in June and will be moving the mortgage. Can anyone give any help on how soon before the deal ends we should be speaking to a new lender?

Have a fixed rate deal which is ending and looking for a 2 year fixed deal

Does paying a fee up front make it better over the short term to get a lower rate generally? Can you get deals with no fees?

Thanks for any helpHelp with moving a mortgage, never done it before!!?
Before applying for remortgage, homeowners need to research rates of interest and inquire as to the best remortgage quotes. Some persons with bad credit histories should be particularly careful when inquiring about the best remortgage deals as persons with adverse credit histories may pay higher rates of interest. Good credit is beneficial when applying for any loan and is especially important for homeowners when they want to remortgage their home. Persons with good credit receive lower interest rates that have thousands of dollars over the life of the mortgage.

There will be fees attached to remortgaging. . At times some institutions will implement an early penalty fee for an early pay off on the original mortgage. If going with a new lender, appraisal fees will be incurred as the new lending institution will have to appraise the property to see how its value matches the remortgage amount. If the amount of the requested remortgage is small, homeowners would benefit from searching for lending companies who will forego fees altogether.

Homeowners should really only remortgage if it allows them to save money. Remortgaging allows homeowners to save money monthly and over time due to a decrease in payment and quite a bit of money over the length of the remortgage, which may be shorter in duration, due to a decrease in interest rate

No doubt your going to get lots of mortgage brokers adn financial experts emailing you and telling you what a great dealthey can get you but buyer beware, the get paid a commission, nothing is free in this workd.

Whatever deal they offer/sugeest look up the lender yourself and check the rates and fees they charge, if its cheaper than you can get from any other high street lender fine but nothing is free in this world.Help with moving a mortgage, never done it before!!?
If you have a ';moving mortgage'; product, contact your lender for details. All product vary from company to company and customer to customer. Any advice from here would probably be useless to your situation.
