Sale of a property with no mortgage O/S?

If i sell a house and i sell it for 拢100,000 with no mortgage o.s to pay on it how much should i expect to be left with after solicitors fees? I have inherited a house and i will be selling it eventually but that is what i can get for it in a valuation. And i was wondering how much i would be left with to buy another property.

Could someone help.

Usually, solicitor's fees are quite small when selling a property. However, you are likely to have real estate agent fees which come straight off the sales price. I'm not sure what they are in Britain, but I can't see them being much less than 4%, and perhaps as high as 8%.

So, when all is said and done, you'll probably net a bit over 90,000. That's assuming the house sells for what the valuers say - usually buyers offer up to 10% less than the valuation, so take off a bit more.
