have you tired the www.direct.gov/studentfinance? that might help you x good luckHow do I get help in the UK with student costs? I have mortgage but wanna go to uni?
Most universities and colleges have discretionary funds to help students with genuine financial problems. They are often termed 'Hardship Funds' and/or 'Access Funds'. The University Counsellor may also have a budget for this purpose. It's a matter of contacting the Uni and asking if they can help. Perversely some establishments actually decline to accept these funds from the Government due to the extra admin involved. So it really does depend on the policy of a particular Uni.
