Have a look on the website for your local council and social services office to start - they often have vacancies in housing and may also need interpreters sometimes. Send your CV to your local housing associations, mortgage brokers and building societies. Send a CV to the local police station, hospitals, benefits office and maybe local doctors and advice centres in case they need interpreters. Your county or city library and even schools might also be glad of someone to translate information leaflets for them, it's all worth a shot!
Good luck and please ignore all the pompous twits above.Ok so ive got the qualifications how do i get the right job, im qualified in mortgage advice and also have a h
Check thisislondon.co.uk they have lots of housing jobs. if you prefer tranlating, home office offer those jobs for people who can't speak English. Also lots of lawyers require translaters, its good idea to contact them and let them know what you can offer. citizen advice bureau and police also require translaters.
Try a web search on ';Islamic mortgages'; and send off your CV to anyone you can find. With your qualifications and speaking Punjabi, they'll be queuing up for you.
try your local jobcentre
